Reiki Lineage is like a Reiki family tree, in that it allows each Reiki practitioner to trace our roots back to the founder of the Usui System of Reiki, Dr. Mikao Usui.
Reiki Lineage is important to some because it reflects the information the Reiki Master will be passing on to his or her students. Reiki is passed down from Master to student through classes, trainings, and attunements. As the information gets passed down from individual to individual sometimes the teachings are influenced by the Master teacher or by their culture or societal norms at the time. Different lineages may have different philosophies and understandings of working with the Usui System of Reiki. Often Reiki practitioners are encouraged to be guided by their own intuition and to make their practice their own.
Below is my Reiki Lineage which shows the path from the founder Dr. Usui through each Reiki Master who passed down his teachings until it eventually reached me. 🙂
I am certified in Reiki I and II with Holy Fire III and received my training and Reiki attunements from Reiki Master Sharyn Madison in Cortland, NY in April 2022.
